MEAMO
CHARACTERS
Meamo is the little queen of Meamundo, a magical world in the fifth dimension. She watches over her friends the Meamicas with love and passion. They are born out of Meamo's Inner Smile. When she embraces herself a red embraced heart flies out of one of her ponytails. It flies off to sit on the cloud shaped end of a special tree branch where it becomes a nest for a newborn Meamica. There are thousands of Meamicas. Each Meamica has a unique passion, object and skill. Because they are so passionate about what they’re doing with their passion they acquire deep knowledge about it and develop certain super skills connected to their passion.
SARAH
Sarah is a young sensitve creative girl and an only child who lives with her parents in Sinistora, an island shaped district of Manacere, a military city state in Velandria that is dominated by the Haberati, a secret religious society that forces people to live by the rules of their religion called Haberism which is characterized by having and owning, power, meney, ego and appearance. Sarah doesn't fit well into all this. She's feeling lost and is trying to find herself, her identity, passion and place in this world.
Her parents restrict her development. She is given no room to experiment with different kinds of interests to discover who she is, what she loves, and what she wants in life. This makes her very anxious and insecure. Despite the great potential she has in many areas, she believes she is incapable of anything. She struggles with feelings of inferiority and a negative self-image. She is able to release her stress and underlying frustrations physically through her sport, basketball.
When she reaches an emotional low point, she meets Meamo and discovers the existence of Meamundo. There she learns to embrace herself and transform into the Inner Smile Warrior, allowing her to step into her power and tap into her full potential. Every time she returns home after yet another amazing adventure, she once again comes under the influence of her shadowed parents, friends, teachers, neighbors, and others. She begins to doubt herself again and falls back into a low point. This cycle repeats itself time and time again. She must try to break this cycle.
Because she is restricted in every aspect of her life, she retreats into her mind and develops an enormous fantasy world. This imagination fuels her out-of-the-box thinking and proves useful in her battle against General Caeco.
CHRIS AKA CHRETHACK
Chris is a classmate of Sarah. He is an ethical hacker who watches with concern as people use the internet in dark and toxic ways, including trolls on social media. He wants to do something about it using his knowledge as a hacker, but he doesn’t yet know how. Once Sarah returns to the human world at the end, she confronts Chris, revealing that she knows he is the hacker who has helped her twice already. Through hacking Caecopolo, Chris has meanwhile become aware of the world of Meamundo and the struggle against General Caeco. Sarah tells him about the energetic network in Meamundo and the beautiful energy it spreads. This gives Chris the idea to connect both networks—the human world’s internet with Meamundo’s light-energy network. They create a high-vibration light web to hack computers, minds, and hearts alike, helping all humans to fight darkness and negativity and to help them find their inner Smile. Together, Chris, Sarah, and Meamo form the Inner Smile Squad to fight General Caeco and his darkened disciples.
EMILY
Sarah’s other best friend. Emily is a unique character: she’s a true gothic enthusiast—from her clothing and makeup to her music. She is a bit chubbier than Sarah and Yena, so the style suits her well. She has a good heart and looks at life with cheerfulness. She is everyone’s best friend. Sarah enjoys going to Emily’s place, especially when things get too much at home. Then she escapes there. Emily lives just a few houses away. Sarah spends time in Emily’s room watching TV and listening to music. She also sometimes gets a treat, like ice cream or a cake, from Emily’s mother Lucy, who feels like a second mother to Sarah.
YENA
Yena is Sarah's confident best friend. She is her opposite: extroverted, exuberant, assertive, mischievous, a bit of a blabbermouth, always looking very sexy, and loves fashion, makeup, parties, loud pop music… she has even declared herself an influencer. Despite this, they get along very well—maybe precisely because she is so different from Sarah. Yena drags her everywhere to push her out of her comfort zone.
BRAD
Brad lives in Sarah’s neighborhood. He’s a bully who tries to sabotage Sarah using his toy drones, sponsored by his dark ally General Caeco and the sinister CAECORP, Inc. Brad is a hangaround of the Turbaminocs, a criminal motorcycle gang. They serve as the enforcers for the Haberati.
GENERAL CAECO
General Caeco is the leader of Caecorp Inc. and the physical manifestation and representative of all negativity, which he has transformed into a cosmic dark web that gradually infiltrates all dimensions. He is the eternal archenemy of Meamundo. He seeks to steal the Inner Smile Prism, the energy source of the Inner Smile, destroy the world of Meamo, and turn it into a dark, passionless mechanical world. He surrounds himself with all kinds of mechanical drones. These fire pain in the form of negative emotions, darken everything and everyone, and drain them of their Inner Smile energy. He discovers the gateway to the human world, where he darkens the minds and hearts of people who have not yet found their Inner Smile.
